My first attempt at a Large scale graphic event poster. My focus was primarily on composition and learning how to blend elements into one cohesive design.

One year later shows drastic improvement. Now using RGB curves extensively to create new light sources on subjects as well as adapt their colour to fit the environment better.

Being given free range to make a dramatic blockbuster movie style poster for these events makes the experimentation very enjoyable. This is a compositon of two images, the legs and the driver.

Information is clear with only a few basic elements used. A kart photo, track photo, smoke effect, light source, sky replacement and basic Dodging and Burning.

The first thing I create for a new championship is the announcement poster. This sets the tone for the series and contains many assets that I can then pull from for future designs within the series.

This is made for social and print use. Often requiring portrait and landscape variants

Race week posters are then made for socials prior to each round. These are to generate hype and inform others as to when it is happening.

Including drivers racing in the series is essential for community building and engaging our audience.

After each race the top 5 from each category are then uploaded. I make these templates prior to the season starting to create a fast and clean workflow.

These are our most shared asset from the drivers, so it is important to have the company and championship branding clearly on display.

After the final race, individual “Champion” graphics are made for the final drivers. Again these are from a pre-existing template I make prior to the round so I can just swap out the relevant information and post immediately after the race has finished.
